Fellow members are PAs who are:
- currently licensed and practicing in the state of Montana
- currently AAPA members
- must have graduated from a physician assistant program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or a successor agency approved by the AAPA House of Delegates.
Fellow members shall have full voting privileges on state and national issues and may hold elected office. (AAPA members who belong to more than one constituent chapter may vote on AAPA issues in only one constituent chapter.) $100 annual membership dues
Associate members are PAs who are:
- licensed and practicing in the state of Montana
- are NOT AAPA members
- must have graduated from a CAHEA, CAAHEP or successor agency approved by the AAPA House of Delegates.
Associate members shall enjoy all privileges of Fellow members except that they may not participate in issues relating to the AAPA such as: voting for delegates, submitting resolutions or representing the chapter in the AAPA House of Delegates. Associate members may not hold office. $100 annual membership dues
Affiliate members are persons who do not meet the qualifications for Fellow or Associate membership, but who wish to maintain membership in this organization for the purpose of supporting or enhancing the practice of physician assistants in the state of Montana. Affiliate members shall be entitled to all the privileges of Fellow members except those of holding office and voting. $65 annual membership dues
Student members are enrolled in physician assistant program approved by CAHEA, CAAHEP or a successor agency. Applicants for student membership must verify their student status in a manner acceptable to the board of directors. Student members shall be entitled to the privilege of the floor, but have no vote. A student member may only hold the office of Student Representative. This student officer shall be elected by fellow MTAPA student peers, and enjoys all rights and privileges, including formal vote, except in matters relating to AAPA. $35.00 bi-annual membership dues cover normal duration of PA school
